Values, Faith and Life

Valores, Fe y Vida (Values, Faith and Life) is the foundational program of Centro Santa Catalina. Through a four-year series of classes and prayer gatherings women from the colonias grow in their own self-esteem and leadership skills as well as develop the kind of community that allows them to support each other through the challenges of their lives.

Eight women, all graduates of Valores, Fe y Vida themselves, teach the classes and are paid to do so.

The mothers of children in the kindergarten are asked to commit themselves to attend one class and one prayer gathering each month. Once they find out how beneficial the program is many will choose to continue coming.

The themes for the four year series are:

• Darse a Luz a Si Misma (Giving Birth to Oneself)
• Mujeres de Luz:Taller de Crecimiento y Liderazgo en Grupo (Women of Light: Growth and Leadership
• Leer las Escrituras (Reading the Bible)
• Valores Morales (Moral Values)

Each woman who completes the four year series receives a certificate of completion and is welcome to continue attending advanced classes and the monthly prayer gatherings.
